4on Every meal now ends with her food on the floor, one piece at a time
Watch whether she throws at the start of the meal or at the end. My daughter threw when she was full but didn't have a way to say it. We taught her a hand sign for 'all done' and the throwing dropped quite a bit. The tradeoff is that she used the sign whenever she wanted to get down, full or not, so meals got shorter for a while.
1on Tuition worksheets plus school homework, every evening, at 7
Can I ask what the tuition is for at 7? Not judging at all, my daughter is 8 and I've been under pressure from other parents to start something. I just haven't been able to work out what it would add.
In theory, yes. In practice a five year old behind a curtain with eight adults looking at her is not going to say anything. Someone has to speak first. I don't see a clean answer.
2on The baby has discovered he can shriek, and so have the neighbours downstairs
We had something similar with a toddler running laps in a flat, and our downstairs neighbours were less polite about it. We put down a rug and moved the morning play to the bedroom on the other side. I can't say it reduced the noise much, but the neighbours could see we were trying, and that changed the tone.
0on Hindi or Telugu from class 6? Our son reads Hindi better, and his grandparents are not pleased
We're a Telugu family living in Noida, so Hindi was the default and there was no decision to make. My daughter speaks Telugu with her grandparents but can't read it. I don't regret the school choice, but I do wish we had started something for reading at home earlier. Whichever you pick, the other language needs a plan at home.
