Partner can't stand the smell of anything cooking. What did you eat for those weeks?

Checked. It fits only if the parcel shelf comes out. So the parcel shelf now lives in our flat, behind the sofa.

I had not even thought about the boot. Will check in the morning before office.

Checked. The complex has a guest room, bookable five nights at a time. That could let both sets overlap for a few days instead of a strict handover.

Tried the cold curd rice and fruit this week. Curd rice works, fruit only if it's cut and cold from the fridge. Cook now comes at 6 with the windows open. Small wins.
0on partner's leave ends monday. first full day alone with our 4 month old
The buffer around calls is useful. We're planning leave now, and the first week my partner is alone with the baby after I go back is the part we haven't figured out. Did you do a practice day before the real one?
6on Now that he crawls everywhere, what do you mop the floor with?
Expecting our first. Didn't realise floors would be a whole topic. Adding it to the list.
1on Our class 10 daughter wants the guest room for herself. My in-laws use it three months a year
Speaking as a son rather than a parent: when my parents visit us for a few weeks, what bothers them is being treated like guests, not which room they get. A cupboard of their own and their routine left alone matter more to them than the bed.
