Van won't drop my 9 year old unless an adult is at the gate. One evening a week, there isn't one

My mother has offered to take over our son's after-school hours. I'm not sure it's good for either of them

That's the way I was leaning. I'll call his mother this week instead of messaging, and keep the question open like that.
That matches what I saw when a friend's son moved from CBSE to ICSE in class 4. Maths was fine, the English answers were the problem for the first few months. Teachers wanted full sentences where he was used to writing two words. He settled by the second term.
3on Fourth 'bump report' from daycare this week. Is that a lot, or are they just careful?
I'd take the forms as a good sign about the daycare. A lot of places don't write anything down unless a parent complains. The question I'd ask is the 'where'. If three of the four happened at the same spot, that's a furniture problem they can fix. And the back-of-the-head one: did they say how she fell?
4on Picture books for a 4 and 6 year old where a disabled character just gets on with the story?
When my son was that age, the ones that worked best were where the character's difference showed only in the pictures and nobody in the text remarked on it. He asked the questions himself, which was better than the book asking them. Does your library take requests? Ours ordered two after I asked at the desk.
0on Caregiver gets our 4 month old to sleep in ten minutes. I take forty-five
Babies tend to settle faster with whoever is calmest. Not saying you aren't, but after a long day most of us are more wound up than we realise. My partner found that a shower and ten minutes before taking over made a real difference.
0on Her MYP science report got flagged by the school's AI checker. She says she wrote every word
What if most of the drafting happens on paper and is typed up in one go? My son writes everything by hand before typing, and now I'm wondering how that would look to one of these tools.
4on Is 10 km too much for a 12 year old's first race?
That's a good question to put to her. From the clinic side, what I see go wrong at that age is rarely the distance itself. It's new shoes on race day and nothing to drink before the start. Basic things.
