0on Which rules need to match when a 12 year old lives in two houses?
from the school side, kids who move between two homes mostly cope fine with different rules. what goes wrong is the logistics. the notebook is at the other house, the sports uniform is at the other house. i'd match the homework routine and the bag packing before worrying about bedtimes
1on My school day starts at 7.30, so I'm up at 5. Now my toddler is too
fellow teacher here. i stopped fighting it. she gets the 5.30 to 6 slot with me, my partner gets bedtime. it's the only quiet time i get with her on school days
2on 12 yr old asked for an alarm clock so the phone could stay out of her room. it went off at 5.10
ours started at 5.15 today. the alarm clock at least has a snooze button
2on Carrier that doesn't wreck a tall dad's back? She's 5 months and heavier every week
try it on with her in it, not the shop's doll. the doll weighs nothing and every carrier feels great with it
0on The Model City School in Erragadda is on my way to work. How long is the nursery day there?
we're a year behind you, so half useful at best. a colleague's son did nursery somewhere on that stretch and she used a daycare that collects from schools in a van. if you go that way, ask how many schools the van covers. six stops means a long ride for someone that small.
0on Do schools check where you live for nursery admission, or is 'nearby preferred' just talk?
teacher here, so i've seen that form from the other side at one school. the address mostly goes to whoever plans transport. can't speak for every school though
1on Our caregiver goes from afternoons to full days in May. Pro-rata, a flat amount, or something else?
Decide now what happens in June when the hours drop again. Ours got used to the summer amount and the drop turned into an awkward conversation.
