1on Two bags for a three-hour housewarming. Needed exactly one spare kurta, mine
every mother learns this once. carried a full bag for my daughter till she was nearly 3 and never once packed a spare dupatta 🤷
1on 2 month old and the crackers have already started in our lane
in our building the worst night was always the one after diwali not diwali itself. leftover stock and teenagers. plan for both
1on Preschool calls at 11 to say she has a temperature. Who leaves work, and how do you decide?
for years it was me by default because my partner runs a business and 'couldn't leave' 🤷 i resented it more than i said. if i did it again i'd agree the rule before the first call, not during it
1on How do state board schools like SRKS Vidyalaya in Dilsukhnagar handle LKG admission?
the trouble is admissions don't wait for anyone's move. forms close before people know their postings. apply where you'd need it and decide later, the form fee is small compared to having no seat
paid it on the 29th. she calls it insurance, i call it a donation. july will tell
1on Summer before class 12: crash course, or the small app project he wants to build?
just been through it. my daughter did the full crash course that summer and was burnt out by october. half her class were the same. the ones who did something of their own and kept a steady weekend routine seemed fresher by winter. no guarantees, but i don't think the summer decides it
1on caregiver is lovely with my son but spends his nap on video calls home. do i say something
We had this with a caregiver when our daughter was small. Calls during nap time we decided were her break, and fine. Calls while our daughter was awake were not, and we said exactly that, once, calmly, as a house rule rather than a complaint about her. She took it well. Give her the nap time, it's the only break she gets.
0on 2 yr old won't take a bite until her rabbit has had one first
our daughter's was an elephant. it went through a whole summer of idli before it got retired. she's finishing class 12 now and it still sits on her bed
