Diwali still a couple of weeks off and our lane has started early. Last night around 10, the loud ones. Baby up and screaming. She's 2 months. First Diwali with her. What do people do? Stay in one room? Go somewhere quieter for the main nights? Banjara Hills, not sure anywhere in the city is quiet that week lol
When my grandson was a baby we kept him in the inner bedroom on the main nights, windows shut, curtains drawn, and the fan running for a steady sound. His ajji, that is me, sat with him while his parents went out to light the diyas. He slept through more than we expected. The big ones right next to the building still woke him, and nothing could be done about those.
