Shoe shop near Gachibowli where they measure a child's feet properly?

breezy_puzzle_5861

Sandals we bought our daughter in April are already tight, toes right at the edge. Every shop I've tried just hands over whatever size the child says and lets her pick by colour. Anywhere around Gachibowli or Kondapur that uses a measuring board and checks the fit?

Not Gachibowli, but the big sports store near us in KPHB measured our little one's feet on a board when we bought her first walking shoes. Took five minutes. Might be worth checking whether the branch near you does the same.

Wherever you buy, check the fit yourself as well: a thumb's width beyond the longest toe while she is standing, and shop in the evening, when feet are slightly larger. Most staff won't do this unless you ask.

we gave up on shops measuring. trace both feet on paper at home, cut them out, take the cut-outs along and slide them into the shoe. works every time 🤷

doing the paper thing this week. our son hates shops so this saves one tantrum

The paper trick works until about seven, in my experience. After that they have opinions about every shoe, and the cut-out doesn't help with that.

Late to this, but the evening tip above is right. My son can't stay still in a shop for more than five minutes, so I order two sizes online and return one. Not ideal, but it ends the outing before the meltdown.
