first haircut for a 1 year old near narsingi. barber, salon or just do it at home?

his curls are in his eyes now and he keeps pushing them away while eating. we're not doing any ceremony for it, just want it short before diwali visitors start normal barber near us is a busy place with loud music and a buzzing machine, can't see him sitting still for that. is there anyone around narsingi or the gachibowli side who is used to babies, or do people just do it at home with scissors while someone holds him

did it at home. partner held her on the lap with a bowl of puffs, i cut. took about four minutes and the back is uneven, nobody has noticed in two months only tip: do it right after a bath while the hair is still wet and flat. dry curls jump everywhere and you can't see what you're cutting

after a bath is a good one, he's at his calmest then. the puffs bribe will also work on him, no doubt. bit nervous about scissors near the ears with him twisting around but maybe i just do the front first and leave the rest for a braver day

for my son's first one we went to one of those kids salons in a mall, the ones with a car seat and cartoons on a screen. he was older than yours though, closer to 2. what helped more than the car was going on a weekday morning when it was empty, no other kids crying in the next chair they were patient but it costs a lot more than a barber for ten minutes of work 🤷

a chair with a steering wheel might honestly do it, he grabs every steering wheel he sees. weekday morning is hard with daycare but i might take a half day. will try the home version first and keep this as plan B
