We've had a lot of diary notes in our house this past year, so I have opinions. I'd tell him you'll tell his parents together, with him on the call, and he gets to explain first. He keeps trusting you because you didn't go behind his back, and his parents still hear it. Two incomplete assignments is small. What matters more is that he's this scared of their reaction.

My son's first laugh was at the vacuum cleaner. Seven years on, he still loves anything loud. Enjoy the gummy laughs while they last. As a dentist, they're my favourite kind.

Not at this branch, but we looked at two schools in the same group for my son last year, on the west side. The only way I got a real picture was asking to see a class 3 or 4 test diary and asking what happens when a child falls behind. One branch showed me, one didn't, and that told me more than the brochure. Branches can run quite differently though, so I wouldn't assume Kushaiguda is like the ones we saw.

Late to this, but the evening tip above is right. My son can't stay still in a shop for more than five minutes, so I order two sizes online and return one. Not ideal, but it ends the outing before the meltdown.

Can't tell you about SR digi, we're in Manikonda and didn't visit that one. But we did a lot of school visits last year for my son, and the question that told me the most was: what do you do with a child who can't sit still for a written task at this age? The answers ranged from very thoughtful to 'he'll learn'. Ask it even if your son doesn't need it. It tells you how they see four and five year olds.
