Renting a cot and high chair for 10 days in Kondapur over Diwali?

Visiting family in Kondapur for Diwali with my 8 month old. Flying, so no cot or high chair coming with us. Is short-term rental of baby gear a real thing in Hyderabad, or is borrowing easier? Buying things we'll use for 10 days seems wasteful. Needs to be delivered, not collected from across the city.

I don't have children, but a colleague at school arranged exactly this when her sister visited with a baby last winter. She found a local rental service that delivered. Ask in your family's apartment group first though, someone almost always has a cot lying unused.

Kondapur apartment groups are your best bet. When ours was small we lent our cot to visiting families in the building three or four times. People are usually glad to clear the space for a while ❤️ Just wipe it down and check the bolts when it arrives.

Agree about the building groups. I would add that a borrowed high chair is simpler than a borrowed cot. With a cot you never fully know its condition, and if the baby sleeps badly anyway you will keep wondering. A travel cot that folds back into a cupboard might be worth buying after all.

rental places exist, delivery was fine for a friend. but they charge a deposit plus delivery both ways, for 10 days check if borrowing works out first

We're in Financial District, not far from Kondapur. We have a travel cot sitting unused because he still sleeps in the bassinet 🙂 Not sure about lending to someone online though. Maybe get your family to check their building first.

We took a travel cot for both girls whenever we visited grandparents, and it was the one baby item that lasted. Folded flat, survived lots of trips, later became a play pen. If you visit Hyderabad often, buying one may make sense.
