My son's first 'dada' happened during my morning standup

sunny_pool_5336

He's 9 months old. He was on my lap because my partner was in the shower and the call couldn't move. Halfway through my update he grabbed the headset cable and said it, clear as anything. Twelve people across three time zones heard it. His mother did not. She has asked for a repeat performance. He has declined.

Was your camera on? If yes, someone on that call has a recording. Ask.

This made my evening. Our son's first word was 'ball', said to the TV during a cricket match. Nobody else was in the room ❤

Congratulations! Ours said 'amma' first and then called me amma too for about six months. Nanna came much later. Still bitter.

Now I'm slightly worried. My daughter sits with me through some of my client reviews, and she has a lot to say.

does it count if your partner didn't hear it though 🤷

It counts! My daughter's first 'amma' was on a call with her grandmother, and we still tell it as the first one ❤
