Club form asked for three choices. My 12 year old wrote 'any' three times
Class 7. Form is due Wednesday. I asked her why and she said she doesn't mind. Do I make her pick, or leave it?

As a vice principal: 'any' usually means she's placed wherever there's space after everyone else is sorted, which is often the club with the fewest takers. If she has even a slight preference, it's worth writing it as the first choice.
Football, all three times, from my son. He got gardening club anyway 😂 Now we hear about the chillies every evening.
Gardening club becoming the favourite is so common. Our chinnadi got put in the quiz club by default and stayed four years. Sometimes 'any' works out fine.

She said almost exactly that when I showed her this. Fine, leaving it.
Did she say why? For our son 'any' meant he didn't want to pick something his friends would tease him about. Once that came out he wrote two choices.
mine put chess as first choice. he has never played chess. we'll find out
Is the club graded or mentioned on the report card? If it's an ungraded hour a week, I'd let her see where she lands. If it's assessed, I'd ask her to choose.
Keep going
