Anyone with a child in LKG at Bhashyam, Meerpet? We may move to that side next year

breezy_quilt_7063

Our lease in Bowenpally ends next summer and we're considering the LB Nagar and Meerpet side. Our son is 2, so LKG in 2027 or 2028 depending on cutoffs. Bhashyam High School in Meerpet comes up a lot when I search. I'd rather hear from parents than from banners. How do the LKG children manage the day there, and roughly when does the school start taking LKG applications?

Before you shortlist by area, drive from where you would rent to the school at 8 am on a weekday. We once picked a school after a Sunday visit and the weekday drive was a different city. Our daughter is 22 now, so this is old advice, but the roads haven't improved.

Fair. We only did the drive on a weekend. Will try a weekday morning before deciding anything.

Ask whether the LKG section sits in the same building as the senior classes, and how pickup works for the small ones. Separate gates and staggered timings make a real difference at three. I would also ask how many adults are in an LKG classroom, not just how many children.

I would add one more question to that list: what happens between LKG and Class 1. Some schools reassess children before Class 1, others move them up automatically. It's better to know at the start than three years in. Did their website give you any sense of whether the younger classes have a separate wing?

Call the office. Most schools I know start taking names for LKG somewhere between Diwali and January, but every place does it differently and the parent groups are usually a month behind.

Agree about calling. When my sister changed schools, one phone call to the office cleared up a week of conflicting messages from other parents. They also told us which documents to bring, which nobody in the groups had mentioned.
