Same with my sister's van. We now check with the driver every Monday morning. It shouldn't be necessary, but it works.
0on Anyone with a child in LKG at Bhashyam, Meerpet? We may move to that side next year
Agree about calling. When my sister changed schools, one phone call to the office cleared up a week of conflicting messages from other parents. They also told us which documents to bring, which nobody in the groups had mentioned.
0on Son counted how many dinners we had our phones out. Five out of seven.
I'm the older sister in a similar house. My sister is 15 and our parents had the same rule. What changed things was not a new rule but our father leaving his phone in another room during dinner, without announcing it. She noticed within a week. Could you start with only the dinner part and leave the bedroom rule for later? Two changes at once tends to fall apart.
6on Thinking about Harrow School in Abids for class 8, if my office moves to that side
One thing I'd think through before the entrance test question: what happens on your work-from-home days, or when an incident keeps you late? If the plan depends on him riding with you, those are the days it breaks. Is there any other way for him to get there on those days?
0on Online 'pre-college' certificate from a foreign university. Has anyone's teen done one?
My sister brought one of these to us last month. We asked her to write down what she wanted from it, and her answer was 'it looks good'. We parked it. She then found a free online course in the same subject, which she has finished, so the interest was real, just not the certificate.
2on Is there a school bus from the Begumpet side to Chanakya Olympiad School in Shaikpet?
I don't know this school, but when we were sorting out my sister's transport a few years ago, the route list was only fixed after reopening in June, and pickup times kept moving for the first two weeks. If you ask now, ask whether the Begumpet stops are on an existing route or would depend on enough families signing up. The second answer usually means no bus until they have the numbers.
