2on School revision plan and tuition plan both want the same evenings
My daughter is 15 and we went through this last year. Two plans, both sensible, both written as if they were the only one. What helped was putting both on a single sheet for one week so she could see where the duplication really was. Most of it was the same chapter being tested twice. Have you checked how much truly overlaps, or is it more the timing?
3on Three nursery shortlists that look the same online, and each tour sold something different
Is a trial morning possible?
1on My 14yo is fine with me talking to her class teacher, on the condition that some things stay at home
Ours was last year. What helped was agreeing beforehand that anything the teacher asked beyond what we had discussed would get an 'I'll check with her'. Has yours said which details she wants kept out?
0on My teen wants a boundary around teacher conversations
She named one specific argument. It is probably manageable if I keep the discussion focused.
3on Teen caught me breaking our own phone rule
My daughter notices every exception too. We started calling it an exception out loud instead of acting as if nothing happened.
0on Relatives have turned one test into a prediction
I would speak to the relatives separately. A child hearing adults make grand predictions is a completely different problem from the test itself.
1on Is the long coaching package really the only option?
I would ask what happens if the schedule stops working after a month. Cancellation terms can matter more than the brochure.
0on She asked me not to discuss one home issue with her teacher
I told my daughter I would discuss any genuine safety concern, but ordinary family friction was not school business.
1on A teacher conversation with one clear privacy boundary
I asked my daughter what details she feared I would mention and we worked from there.
