6yo is desperate for weekday skating and neither of us can do the 5 pm drop

My daughter has been asking for skating since summer. Weekend batch is full, only weekday batches at 5 pm have space. Problem is neither of us can promise 5 pm on weekdays. Some days yes, many days no. Her grandmother stays with us and helps a lot, but I don't want her doing traffic every evening. How do you all manage pickup for weekday batches? Carpool, auto uncle, drop and wait? Before I pay for the term I want to know it will actually work 🤷‍♀️

Weekday 5 pm is the worst slot for working parents honestly. We did two days a week instead of four, one of us shifted a call on those days and the other day the class was dropped. Not perfect.

Talk to the coach also, sometimes they let kids switch between weekday batches if you inform beforehand 🥲 helped us a lot on the busy weeks

Same story with my son and swimming 🤷‍♀️ We ended up with a driver for 2 days a week only for the class. Costly but he got to go.

Ask this first, location decides everything. Our skating place was ten minutes from home and that alone made it possible.

Tarnaka side, about 15 min from us 🥲 not far, it's the 5 pm traffic that's the problem

we tried a trusted auto for a while. worked till the driver changed. after that we shifted to saturday only

In my grandson's batch most of the 5 pm runs are done by grandparents and one or two drivers. Ask at the rink if any family from your side comes, sharing with another family is easier than any paid arrangement.

we put her in a batch she could only attend twice a week. she was sad at first. i don't think she remembers that part now
