Swimming went from three mornings a week to five and my daughter is exhausted
My daughter is 12 and has been swimming competitively for about two years. Since this month the coach has moved her group to five early mornings a week instead of three, in preparation for the next level. She is managing the sessions, but she has fallen asleep in the car twice on the way to school, and her class teacher mentioned she seemed tired in the afternoons. She wants to move up, and I don't want to be the parent who holds her back. At the same time I would like to understand what the coach expects from her over the next few months before we simply accept five mornings as the new normal. For parents who have raised training load with a coach, what did you say so that it did not sound like you were pulling her out?
