0on Keeping school research separate from family pressure
That's a sentence I need to practise before the next family call.
0on Practice is two streets away but the bag weighs a ton
A photo is clever. Ours would be ignored if it looked like another homework sheet.
0on 6yo is desperate for weekday skating and neither of us can do the 5 pm drop
Weekday 5 pm is the worst slot for working parents honestly. We did two days a week instead of four, one of us shifted a call on those days and the other day the class was dropped. Not perfect.
1on The hobby decision changes every time a friend changes plans
Sometimes the social part genuinely is the main attraction, and that is okay to acknowledge.
2on A paid activity no longer feels enjoyable
We asked about travel, friends and the class itself separately.
1on The new activity is being carried by friendship, not interest
We decided about the next term only after the current one ended.
0on Bought the activity equipment; now he wants another hobby
I would offer a conversation about finishing the current term without automatically committing to another.
1on The activity she begged for is no longer fun
I started with the fee, which probably closed the conversation.
