Looking for a free or casual weekend playgroup for a 4 year old near Marredpally

Every evening at the park it is the same two kids, and if either of them is missing my son just sits on the bench and waits. They are lovely children, no complaints there. I just want him to get used to playing with kids he doesn't already know. Weekdays are daycare and the weekends are the only open time we have. I really don't want to sign up for one more paid class with a uniform and a term fee. Does anyone know of informal weekend meetups for preschool kids, or did you just start one yourself?

    Not quite the same, but this was my worry with my son at that age too. He had one best friend and nobody else for almost a year. What helped was the Sunday morning crowd at a bigger park, a different set of families from the weekday evening one. We went at the same time for a month and slowly he started joining whatever game was running. No fees, just a ball and some patience ❤️

    Have you asked at the daycare? Some parents there may want the same thing on weekends.

    we tried a library storytime on saturdays for a while. free, about a dozen kids, and half of them stay back after to play. my daughter spent the first two weeks glued to my leg and then forgot i existed
