My son interviewed me for a class project on careers. I got 3 out of 5 for 'answers too long'

Four minutes with the class teacher at our first PTM. How do you make that time useful?

The class 5 farewell has a DJ, a dress code and a red carpet. I'd settle for cake

2on Daycare wants parents to vote on fewer photos and we're voting opposite ways
Our son's daycare was before every centre had a photo app, so I can't compare directly. We had the same split over phone calls, though. One of us wanted the centre to call at lunch and the other found it disruptive. What settled it was agreeing on what counted as a reason to call, and everything else waited for pickup. It might help to agree on what is worth a ping before either of you votes.
3on biggest client wants every saturday morning till september
Online would help. One thought from the other side, though. Our son at 12 has largely stopped wanting family Saturdays; he would rather be with his friends. If your elder one is the same, the loss may be mostly yours and your partner's. Still a loss, but a different one to plan around.
0on Daycare plays rhymes on a TV during lunch. We don't do screens at home with our 1 year old
If you do raise it, frame it as a question about the routine rather than a complaint about the screen. 'What does lunch look like on a normal day?' usually gets a more honest answer than 'Why is the TV on?'. We changed a couple of small things at our son's playschool that way, years ago.
0on Pacifier at night has given us four-hour stretches. My in-laws are horrified
Agree with deciding the stop point in advance. We didn't, and ours went on far longer than either of us intended, simply because every night felt like the wrong night to start.
