Which outgrown baby things are fine to pass on, and which should just be thrown?

There's a full suitcase of things my 7 month old has outgrown, plus a bouncer, a bath seat and a pile of gifted newborn clothes. I keep postponing because I don't know how to sort it. Clothes I can check for stains. But how old is too old for a bouncer or bath seat to give away? And is there a group around Nizampet where moms swap properly, with photos of the condition, not just 'free, come take'? Ammamma wants to give everything to the watchman's family, which is also fine, I just want it to be usable.

It has been years for me, but my rule was simple: if it had straps, buckles or a frame and I didn't know its full history, it didn't go to a stranger. Clothes, books and soft toys went freely. Our society had a building group for exactly this, so check whether yours does before looking further.

did one round at 6 months. anything cracked or missing a part went straight out. everything else got a photo and went to a colleagues' group. took one evening once we stopped overthinking

'Usable' needs a definition or you will never finish. Mine was: all parts present, no cracks, washes clean, and I would use it again myself. Anything that fails one goes to scrap, not to the watchman's family. Giving people broken things isn't kind just because it's free.

Fair point, I hadn't looked at it like that. Will use your four checks this weekend and see how much is left 😊
