They didn't go into that, honestly. One of them mentioned a card with a photo of whoever could receive the child, but I don't know whether that came from the school or was something they set up themselves.

The stop handover is exactly the right thing to think about at 4. We aren't on a bus yet with our son, but friends told us the first weeks felt easier once they and the child had met the attendant in person. A familiar face at the bus door does a lot ❤️

Starting outdoors is the bit we were missing. We usually sleep in, and then the day begins on the sofa. A film together in the evening feels quite different from him alone with the tablet, so I'd happily take that ❤️
