Parents at my home daycare ask me when nursery forms open. What should I tell them?

I run a small daycare from my flat in Malakpet. Every year around this time, parents of the older children start asking me which school, when forms will come, what documents. Some think I will know because I am in this line. I know only what parents tell me afterwards. Last year one mother missed a form date because she was waiting for me to tell her, and I felt very bad. This year four of the children who come to me will go for nursery next June. Is there some common time when schools on the Dilsukhnagar, Saidabad side give forms? Or each school is different and I should just say that?

Each school is different. Of the ones we checked for my two, one opened in October and another not till December. Tell parents that plainly and tell them to call the offices. Don't guess dates for them.

Don't become the person responsible for this. If you give a date and it turns out wrong, it's on you. A short note saying 'start calling schools after Dasara, I can't track every date' is enough.

When my daughter was going for nursery, the state board schools near us gave forms later than the bigger CBSE ones, so parents who were only watching the big names nearly missed ours. If you have a notice board for parents, maybe let them pin up whatever dates they hear. That way it's coming from them, not from you.

Notice board I have already, for the food menu. I will put one sheet next to it for school dates. Good idea, thank you.

      Replying to @cedar_veranda_7385

add a column for where they heard it. half the dates going round parent groups every year are from the year before.

for what its worth we found out about ours from the security at the gate before anything was online. worth telling parents to just go and ask in person
