Nine papers in eight days for class 6 half-yearlies. How do you pace a 10 year old?

The half-yearly timetable came home today. Nine subjects including the new ones, one or two holidays in between, and full portions for most papers. This is the first time he has had anything like this. I teach older students, so I know what revision looks like at 17. I'm less sure what's reasonable at 10. Do you plan it subject by subject, or let him decide what to revise each day?

Our daughters are in IB so there are no exam weeks like this yet. I am reading with interest, though. Is nine papers in a short window typical for class 6 in CBSE, or does it vary much by school?

Ours is in ICSE class 5, so a little behind you. What worked for his last exams was a paper wall calendar where he coloured in each revision session himself. He liked seeing the colours fill up, and I could see at a glance if a subject was being avoided. Did the school give portions in a single sheet, or separately for each subject?

One sheet, thankfully, with chapter numbers per paper. The colouring idea is good, he's very visual. Going to try it tomorrow, with the heavy and light split from the other comment as well.
