Our caregiver keeps asking which comes first, school homework or the tuition sheets

Our son is 7, in class 2. On weekday evenings our caregiver (chechi, to the kids) sits with him until one of us gets home around 7.30. He has school homework, which takes about half an hour, and a tuition worksheet packet, which takes longer. The school says its homework comes first. The tuition teacher says her sheets build on that day's class and have to be done the same evening. Chechi has started messaging me every day to ask which one to start with, and I honestly don't know what to tell her. I'd like to sit down with both teachers about the total, but I'm not sure how to raise it so the tuition teacher doesn't take it as a complaint. Has anyone managed that conversation?

I'm the person in your chechi's position two afternoons a week, with my granddaughter. Her parents decide, but I'm the one sitting there at 5 pm. What helped me was a note in her bag from her parents, saying the order for that day. I didn't want to decide. I wanted to be told, so that when the tuition teacher asks, it isn't my choice she's questioning haha

That makes sense. I'd been treating her question as a scheduling problem, but she probably just doesn't want to be the one deciding. Wrote a note tonight, she'll find it in the morning.

She read it this morning and asked what to do if the school homework runs past half an hour. Fair question, and I don't have an answer. Looks like the conversation with the tuition teacher can't wait much longer.
