Gym near Banjara Hills that will take my two teenage sons and keep an eye on their lifting?

juniper_lantern_5449

Both boys discovered fitness YouTube at the same time. Now there are dumbbells under the bed, protein talk at dinner, and one of them tried doing reps with the gas cylinder. Enough. I'd rather pay for a proper gym where a trainer watches their form than have them learn from reels. Most places I've called either don't take under-18s or say 'sare sare, no problem' a little too quickly. Anyone found one around Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills or Film Nagar that handles teenagers properly? Evening batch ideally 🙂

the gas cylinder 😂 no gym tips from me, haven't seen the inside of one since the baby. but yes to a trainer. the cylinder alone justifies the fee

When you visit, go at the hour they would be training, not at 11 am when the place is empty. Count how many trainers are on the floor in the evening rush and how many of them are busy with paid personal clients. 'Supervised' in a brochure can mean one person watching thirty.

Some universities run supervised strength batches for staff families in the holidays. Ours does. Not much help for term-time evenings, but worth checking if either of you has a college connection.

Not a gym answer, but would they take to a sport with strength work built in? The badminton coach in our area does a fitness half hour for his older batch and the teenagers in that group love it. Might be an easier yes than a gym for under-18s ❤️

Our daughter joined a gym near Rajendranagar at 16. They asked for a parent consent form, a parent at the first session, and a basic fitness check before she touched weights. The first month was only form work with light weights, which she found boring and which was exactly what I wanted. I would ask every gym you visit whether they have a written process for under-18s. If they don't, they are probably making it up as they go.
