Grandmother's first smartphone, and my 15 year old is the teacher. Day nine.

My mother finally agreed to give up her button phone and my son volunteered to teach her. I thought it would be sweet. It is, for about ten minutes a day. After that it's him saying 'just press it, Ammamma' and her saying she is pressing it. Yesterday she video-called his tuition sir by accident 😄 Has anyone else's teen been through this? Do I step in, or leave the two of them to it?

same thing at ours over the summer, my son and my mother. she still calls him for every small thing, he groans, then goes over anyway. i think they both quite like it

What does she mainly want to use it for? If it's WhatsApp calls, teach only that for two weeks and move every other icon off the home screen. Nine days of 'the whole phone' would frustrate anyone, at either end.
