Do class 4 joiners at Santinos Global School in Meerpet sit a written test?

sunny_pebble_2863

There's a chance we shift towards LB Nagar next year, which would mean a new school for my daughter in class 4. A colleague who lives out there mentioned Santinos. Before I take a day off to visit, I'd like to know how it works from parents who have been through it, not just from the website. Do class 4 entrants sit a written test, have an interaction with a teacher, or is it just documents? Should she practise anything beforehand? I realise the answers may differ from year to year.

We haven't done a mid-primary admission ourselves. Friends who moved a child into class 3 or 4 at CBSE schools describe a short English and maths paper, a conversation with a teacher, and a request for the last report card. I would treat that as a likely pattern rather than a rule, and confirm with the office.

Is the colleague's child there now? Someone who has been through class 4 entry in the last year or two will give you a more reliable picture than anyone here who hasn't.

Agree, and if the colleague's child is there, ask what the first month was like for the new joiners, not only the test. That is where the real differences between schools show.

If you go, look at a class 4 notebook from this term if they'll show you one. It shows how much writing they expect and how work is corrected, which no brochure covers. And if she'd be on a school bus, ask how long the ride is for children at the far end of the route.
