College checklist says 'migration certificate (original)'. School says CBSE only issues it online now

Son's results are out and he has a seat, subject to document verification. The college's list includes a migration certificate, original. His school says CBSE issues it digitally and they have nothing on paper to hand over. The college office says bring the original. One of them is wrong, or they mean different things. Has anyone been through this recently? What did the college accept?

Get the college to write down which document they mean. 'Original' to a clerk can mean a printout with a stamp on it. Until it's in writing you're arguing with a phrase.

A colleague's son had this last year. Printed the DigiLocker copy, the college stamped it, done. Another college wanted the school to attest the printout. Depends who's at the desk.

Take everything. The DigiLocker printout, a letter from the school on letterhead with his roll number and the school seal, and the marksheet. Four photocopies of each, and passport photos. In my experience with these offices, extra papers never hurt, but one missing paper means a second trip.

The letter from the school is the bit I was missing. Asked them this afternoon and they've said Monday. Photocopies I can manage.

Ours is ICSE so can't say for CBSE, but my akka's son had to go back twice for one missing attestation. Carry extra photos also, they always want one more than the list says 🙂
