Three months is not long at that age. What I would watch is how the coach handles the face-in part. If she is being pushed under or held down, that tends to set children back for a long time. If the coach is letting her come to it, the splashing term is not wasted. She is getting comfortable, and that is most of it.

Two weeks isn't nothing. I'd ask her what she imagines doing there. If the answer is 'teaching' or 'playing with the kids', that's a conversation worth having before you ring anyone. If it's 'whatever they need', she's probably ready.
