0on Class 3 maths teacher has banned erasers, and my neat son hates his notebook now
The tearing out is what I'd watch. Ask the teacher whether she would rather see a crossed-out line than a missing page. I suspect she would, and hearing that from her may count for more than hearing it from you.
1on She won't move up to the advanced swim group because her friend isn't moving
What does the advanced group look like in practice? Same time and pool, or a different slot? If it's the same session in the next lane, that's a much smaller ask than a new timing.
2on 4 yr old reports everything his sister does. she has started paying him to keep quiet
In our house it's the other way round, the 6 year old is the informer and the 4 year old the suspect. What reduced it was not rewarding the reports with attention. We ask one question: is anyone hurt or in danger? If not, we say thanks, we don't need to know, and change the subject. The bribing stopped on its own once the reports stopped getting a reaction, since there was nothing left to buy.
0on Rainy weekends indoors with a 5 month old. What do you do with her all day?
A plain mirror at floor level, a small basket of safe kitchen things that you rotate, and a short walk along the building corridor or lift lobby for a change of scene. For us the order mattered more than the activities; the same three things in the same sequence made the morning go faster.
4on Nearly 4 weeks old and still no name. The registration form is waiting, the family isn't
It can be added later. We registered our son without a name and added it within the year. The office wanted an application and both our IDs, and it took two visits. Not difficult, just slow. I would not leave it till school admission, because then you're doing it under pressure.
4on Taught her little brother subtraction, and now he takes her things and calls it maths
She has already ruled that he is not allowed to learn addition. Apparently that one is just for her.
