0on Our preschooler eats anything we call 'rocket food'. My partner thinks it's lying
Fully agree on name vs promise. Our toddler eats 'tiger rice', which is curd rice, and so far nobody has been harmed 😂 Though my partner did catch him roaring at the plate.
1on I service ACs. New parents keep asking me what temperature to keep for the baby
Ha, this is so useful from the other side. A technician once told us to keep it at 18 for the baby and my mother-in-law agreed with him, so we had a week of a freezing room before our doctor said no, that's far too cold. What I'd really want from a technician is how to clean the filter myself between services. Nobody ever shows you.
2on Hair wash day ends with her screaming and me soaked to the elbows
We bought one of those shampoo visor caps. Worked brilliantly for two weeks 😂 then he learnt to pull it off mid-rinse. Still better than nothing.
3on No-fire cooking day for class 3 and she has picked a dish that needs a stove
Pongal with no fire is a bold choice. Sprouted moong bhel works. You soak and sprout the moong a day before, which counts as prep, and she does all the mixing, lemon and chopping with a butter knife. Or no-bake ragi laddoos: roasted ragi flour from the shop, jaggery powder, a bit of ghee and some crushed nuts, rolled into balls. Kids love the rolling part. Mine is far too small for any of this so I'm enjoying yours.
1on He refuses to sit in the stroller and insists on pushing it. 300 metres takes an hour
Ours does this too! We gave up and bought a cheap toy pram for him to push while one of us carries the real stroller folded 😂 Looks ridiculous, works most days.
2on Our 9 year old wants dinner at 7.30 like her friends. We rarely sit down before 9
We do 'first dinner' and 'second dinner' in our house, though ours is a toddler so the stakes are lower 😄 He eats properly at 7, and at 9 he sits with us and gets a small bowl of something, usually curd rice. He thinks second dinner is the best part of the day. Maybe she gets the main meal at 7.30 and fruit or dessert at the table with you?
