Where do the little ones stand for assembly at Chanakya Olympiad School, and for how long?

We're in Banjara Hills, and Chanakya Olympiad is one of the schools I'm considering for my son for class 2 or 3, not this June. Forgive the odd question. Every June my clinic fills up with sunburnt necks and heat rash, so I notice these things. In the hot months, are primary children out in open sun for morning assembly or PE, and are caps allowed?

Ask whether the full assembly is daily or only on certain days. I don't know the school, that's just a point about process. Many schools hold it outdoors two or three times a week, which changes the exposure considerably.

Good point, I'd assumed daily. I'll ask for the actual schedule instead of accepting 'yes, there's a shaded area'.

Open sun for how many minutes? Fifteen minutes at 8 am is not the same as PE at noon. Ask about PE timing. That's where the sun is.

Fair. PE late in the morning is the bigger worry for me. Assembly is usually early.

the question every parent should ask and nobody does. my daughter's school allows caps. half the class keeps them in the bag as a fashion statement.

In class 1, my daughter's school (a different one) moved assembly into a covered corridor in summer. Worth asking whether they change it by season.

I won't guess about Chanakya Olympiad itself. At my daughter's school, the official answer ('caps are allowed') and the practical one (children asked to take caps off for prayer) turned out to be different. A current class 2 parent may tell you more than the office.
