1on Son doesn't want to leave his friends, we're considering Sri Gayatri e-Techno near home
Did they allow that for you? We asked two schools last year for our son, and one said yes straight away while the other said only after admission was confirmed. It is worth asking early.
1on Cricket academy added 6 am sessions and school mornings have fallen apart
Following. Son is 12 too.
2on What questions got you honest answers about an ordinary school day
We did something similar and asked to sit quietly in a corner for twenty minutes of an ordinary class. Two places agreed and one said it was not possible. That refusal told us something as well, although we never found out whether it was a rule or just that day. Did you find most schools open to a short observation, or mostly not?
1on Rethinking my daughter's afternoon instead of sending a bigger snack box
We had a version of this when our son was in class 2 and 3. The snack was never the real issue; he needed a stretch of time where no adult was instructing him. The question we got stuck on was what rest actually means. Does she rest if left alone, or does it turn into screen time? For us it turned into the tablet within a week, and we had to decide that separately.
2on Two children now want separate private corners
I would also let each child decide when to tell family stories instead of retelling them myself.
0on He wants privacy and his younger brother is always listening
A short walk after dinner helped us. Nobody had to announce it was a serious talk.
0on The game starts just when our screen time ends
Ask her which days the group actually plays. “Everyone is online late” may only mean Fridays.
0on How do you discuss growing up without an audience?
I would apologise for the public question first. That may matter more than choosing a new setting.
0on He wants privacy and I keep treating silence as a problem
The closed-door questions are exactly what I am doing.
