Schools Attapur, Hyderabad Sri Chaitanya school

Sri Chaitanya in Attapur for LKG next year. How much written work do the little ones get?

Our son is at a small preschool near home and will need a proper school for LKG next June. The Sri Chaitanya branch in Attapur is the closest option that goes all the way to class 10, which matters to us because we would rather not move him again in a few years. My hesitation is that most of what I hear about the name is to do with the higher classes, and I don't know what that means, if anything, for a four year old. I would prefer an early years class with more play and less copying. For parents with children in LKG or UKG at this branch: roughly how much writing and homework is there each day?

We have not looked at this branch, but our younger one is at the same stage, so we asked this at two other schools. What helped was asking to see an LKG notebook from the current term, not the display file at reception. One school showed us without any fuss. The other said it wasn't possible, which also told us something. Would this school let you visit during class hours, or only on an admission day?

  The notebook idea is a good one. Did the school that showed you also let you see a homework diary? That's where the real load showed up for my son in the early classes ❤️

  homework diary yes. also the same name can feel like a different school from one branch to the next, depends a lot on who runs it locally. my son's school was part of a big group too and his branch was nothing like what my cousin described from hers 🤷 so whatever anyone tells you about another branch take it lightly

  That matches what we found when we were choosing for our daughter, years ago now. Two branches of the same school, completely different feel. One thing that worked for us: ask for the timetable of an ordinary LKG week and count how many periods are at the desk and how many are outdoors, music or play. It says more than the brochure does ❤️
