Son wants to pull the chariot at Rath Yatra this year. Where do families go in Hyderabad?

Back home in Odisha, Rath Yatra was the biggest day of the year for us. My son has only seen it on video calls with his aja. This year he's 13 and has asked to go and actually pull the rope. I know there's a Jagannath temple in Banjara Hills, but we've never gone for the yatra. Is it manageable with a teenager, how early do people go, and where do you park? Any other place in the city that holds one?

We went two years ago, before the baby. It gets very crowded near the temple, so go early and don't take the car close. We parked far away and walked. For a 13 year old it'll be a great day. This year I'm sitting it out with a four month old 🙂

parking is the whole problem there. take an auto or cab and get dropped a little away.

      Replying to @linen_trail_6151

Same for anything at that temple on a festival day. We went for a different festival with our son and spent longer finding the car than inside.
