i do a lot of small repairs at home and he follows me around with a plastic toolkit. this week he went round on his own and 'tightened' every handle and latch. very serious about it. made the drill noise and everything. two of the handles now rattle. i have no idea how, the screwdriver is plastic.
ours is too little for tools but he watches my partner fix things with total concentration. i think the drill noise comes before the words
Mine went through a 'fixing' phase at about that age. She took the batteries out of every remote to 'check them'. We found one inside a shoe a month later 🤷
we're two remotes down already. he says they're 'in the workshop'. the workshop is under his bed

Wait till he's seventeen and has a real screwdriver. Mine took apart a ceiling fan last year to 'see how the capacitor works'. It does not work anymore.
