Six days off with viral fever and my class 10 daughter is already counting attendance

moss_bottle_5383

she's fine now but missed six school days this month. came home today with a calculator, worked out her attendance percentage and is convinced she won't be allowed to write the boards the rule is 75 percent i think. i don't know if it's counted for the year or per term. she won't ask the teacher. anyone know how it works for class 10 state board

At her age I would have worried about the same thing, though I suspect the missed classwork matters more than the number. Six days is about a week of notes in every subject. Has she been able to get them from someone?

Notes is the real problem, yes. In my daughter's class they send photos of the notebook pages to whoever was absent. Saves a lot of copying.

as far as i know it's over the whole year. six days in july won't decide anything. ask the class teacher for her count, it'll calm her down more than anything we say

Our school prints the attendance percentage on every report card, even the unit test one. Check the last report she got. And keep the doctor's prescription somewhere safe, just in case.
