Starting class 1 next week, and we bought a sheet of name stickers for her books. She did all the notebooks very seriously. Then there were stickers left over. The TV remote is hers now. The fridge is hers. I found one on the back of my phone and one on my laptop, which I noticed during a client call.
Just be glad there's no label maker in your house. We had one for a month. Every switch in our flat still says 'lights' or 'fan', in case anyone forgot.
mine have been wearing their new school shoes around the house all week to 'break them in'. mostly on the sofa
Speaking from the school office side: the children who label everything are the ones whose things come back from lost property. Encourage it. Maybe not on the laptop.
