School sent a question bank for every subject before the half-yearly. Does he need to do all of it?

This week my son's school sent home printed question banks for all subjects, ahead of the class 6 half-yearly exams. The class group is treating them as compulsory, but the circular only says they are "for practice". He has about two and a half weeks. If he attempts everything, there's no time to revise from the textbook itself. How have other parents handled this?

  • Which subjects carry the heaviest banks? For my daughter at that age, I went through the maths and science ones fully and skimmed the rest. The language banks were mostly the textbook exercises again.

I checked after your comment, and you're right about English: about half of it is the textbook exercises word for word. That cuts it down a fair bit.
