Rolling over now. Changing table, or just do everything on the floor?

sunny_kite_2583

5 month old started rolling this week and changes on the table have become a two-hand job, one on her and one on the diaper. My partner already does it on a mat on the floor. I'm away a couple of nights a week for demos and when I'm back I'd like to not be the one doing it wrong. Did you keep the table at this age or move to the floor?

It's been ten years, but I remember switching to the floor the same week my son rolled. A mat, a basket with everything in reach, done. The table turned into a shelf for folded clothes, which was all it was good for after that.

floor here too since he was about 5 months. night changes happen on the bed with me sitting on the edge, which is probably also wrong 🤷 3 am rules

We kept the table for our daughter a little longer than for our son, with a hand on her the whole time. Once she could roll and push up in one movement it stopped feeling safe. The floor is harder on your back, but nobody falls off it.

My amma's rule with both my girls was very simple, baby on the floor, nobody falls :) I argued for the table back then. Lost.
