Rain sandals for a 3 year old that don't give her blisters?

peach_tiffin_2914

We've been through two pairs this monsoon. The first gave her a blister on the back of the heel within a week. The second has a buckle she can't do herself, so every morning is a negotiation at the door. I'm looking for something she can wear to preschool on wet days, that dries quickly and that she can put on alone. Is there a shop around Somajiguda or Punjagutta where small children can actually try things on and walk around, rather than us guessing sizes online? ❤️ to anyone who saves me from a third wrong pair.

Velcro, one strap, closed toe. Nothing with a buckle. Learnt that the hard way. Can't help with a shop, we're the other side of town.

The heel blister is usually the back strap rubbing once it's wet. For my chinna one we stuck a small strip of soft tape on the inside of the strap and it was fine after that. The bigger malls have kids' shoe sections where they measure the foot properly, Punjagutta side should have one. Take her in the evening, feet are slightly bigger by then.

Late reply, but noting the evening tip for when ours needs proper shoes. She's still mostly carried in this weather.
