Our 10 year old was removed from the class group chat by the classmate who runs it

The kids made their own group on a parent's old phone. Our son was in it for months, then got removed last week after an argument over a cricket match at recess. He says he doesn't care. He has asked me three times whether he's been added back. I'm not going to message the other parent over a chat for ten year olds. Or should I? Do you step into this at all at this age?

I wouldn't message the parent. Ask your son if he wants to sort it out himself at school, and help him with what to say if he does. At that age these groups change every few weeks.

  Agree. Ours was removed and re-added three times in one term. Each time he was sure it was the end of the world, and each time it was over by the following Monday.
