Optician near Hafeezpet for a small boy who has broken three pairs since June

breezy_fern_1867

My son started wearing glasses this year. He has now broken three pairs. One was sat on, one went under a bench at school and was stepped on, and one we still cannot account for. I am looking for an optician around Hafeezpet, Miyapur or Kondapur who is used to children. Not only a shop name, please. I would like to know how it worked for you in practice: did they keep the prescription on file, how quickly could they make a replacement, and which frames actually survived a school year?

flexible frames, the bendy kind. and get a spare pair made at the same time. cheaper than one emergency pair

Daughter has been in glasses since she was 7. The optician in our local market kept her prescription on file and could make a new pair in two days. For us the polycarbonate lenses mattered more than the frame. The glass ones cracked; the frame usually just bent.

where are they breaking, school or home? ours broke at home every single time, on the sofa. a case kept next to the bed fixed half of it.

School, mostly. He takes them off for PE and leaves them on a bench. I have asked his class teacher if they can be collected before games. We will see how long that lasts.

Do any of the eye hospitals near Kondapur have their own optical counters? They tend to be fussier about fit for small children.

my daughter went through five frames between 6 and 9. i stopped buying anything nice. plain cheap frames and the old pair kept in his bag as backup, even if the power is slightly off it gets him through a day

the elastic strap at the back was the only thing that worked for my younger one during sports. she hated it for a week, then forgot it was there.
