Odissi teacher anywhere near Himayatnagar who takes a 4 year old?

Her grandmother has been showing her Odissi clips on every video call this holiday, and now she does the tribhangi pose in the kitchen while I'm cooking. She wants a 'real class'. Every Odissi teacher I've found is in Secunderabad or further out, and they all say 6 and above. Is there anyone in central Hyderabad who takes little ones, even once a week? Or do we keep the videos going and wait two years.

Did they say 6 because that's their rule, or because of how their batches are set up? When I asked for my daughter, one teacher said 6 on the phone but agreed to take her at 5 in a mixed batch once she'd seen her sit through 20 minutes. Worth asking directly rather than going by the website. Ours was on the Kukatpally side though, so no help on location.

Not Odissi, but our younger one started Bharatanatyam at 5. The first year was mostly rhythm, basic steps and learning to sit still for the namaskaram at the start. At 4 I'm not sure she'd have managed the sitting still. Odia cultural associations sometimes run weekend children's classes, might be worth asking there instead of the dance schools.

Wondering the same for Kathak for our 3 year old, Kompally side. Both classes we found take from 5. I'm in two minds: she loves music, but a structured class this young might put her off it altogether. Leaning towards a general movement class for a year and trying again.

What would 'put her off' look like, in your guess? My younger one did a movement class at three and a half, and the only thing that put him off was the 5 pm slot, when he was always tired and hungry. The dance form mattered much less than the timing.
