She started tennis on Saturdays a couple of weeks ago. Someone showed her a professional match on their phone, and she now grunts on every forehand, loudly enough for the next court to hear. The coach has asked her to tone it down. At home it has spread. She grunts while throwing a cushion onto the sofa. Our 1 year old has picked it up and now grunts every time he drops his spoon. Dinner sounds like the final set of a major.
The 1 year old grunting at his spoon has made my morning ❤️ My daughter went through a phase of saying 'and the crowd goes wild' after every puzzle she finished. It lasted about a month.
enjoy it while it's grunting. my son's version at 13 is muttering at himself after every missed ball. the coach calls it focus. i call it a lot of muttering
Ha, the muttering. Mine does a full commentary on her own badminton mistakes, in the third person. 'And she's missed it again.' 😂
