Nursery admission came through, but for the afternoon session. He naps at 1

Our son got a nursery seat at the school we wanted, which we are relieved about. The letter this week says he is in the afternoon session, 12.30 to 4, because the morning one is full. He has napped at 1 o'clock every day since he was a baby, and he is not pleasant when he misses it. My partner is on a break from work this year, so pickup isn't the problem. The nap is. Has anyone's child done an afternoon nursery session? Did the nap move, disappear, or did you manage to switch to mornings later?

Our daughter's nap has moved twice this year on its own, both times when we were sure it couldn't. Not the same as nursery, I know, but little ones do seem to adjust faster than we expect. Hoping the first weeks are kind to you all.

  Ours was in an afternoon session in nursery, long ago now. He napped in the car going there, twenty minutes, and that turned out to be enough. The first month was rough. After that we stopped thinking about it.
