Night feeds have turned into my order-taking hour. Is the phone keeping her up?

Two months in, and the Rakhi box orders for our sweets business have started. My business partner is running the kitchen this month, but customer messages still come to my number, so I've been replying during night feeds, one hand on the baby and one thumb on the phone. The last few nights she's taken much longer to settle after the 2 am feed. I can't tell if that's the screen, me being distracted, or just a two month old being a two month old. Did anyone else work through night feeds? Did putting the phone away make a difference? ❤️

No phones in my time, but I used to read papers during feeds and my son never settled until I put them down. Try a week without it and see.

Is she taking longer on the phone nights, or does it only feel that way? Note the settle times for a week, phone and no phone. Two month olds have bad weeks anyway, so you could be blaming the wrong thing.

  • lowest brightness and grayscale, that was my trick with my daughter. but your customers can wait till 9. nobody who messages at 2 am expects an answer at 2 am
