My son has drawn a revision progress bar on the fridge so we stop asking him

Our 11 year old has mid-terms next week. My partner and I have, admittedly, been asking how revision is going roughly every time we pass his room. This evening he took the whiteboard off the fridge door, drew a long bar divided by subject, and coloured in the parts he has finished. Underneath he wrote: 'Updated at 7 pm daily. Please refer to the board.' I checked at 7:05. It had been updated. Maths is apparently 80 percent done. I was not invited to verify this.

Love this. My 11 year old's version is a sticky note on his door that says 'Studying', underlined twice, which I have learned means anything from studying to watching cricket highlights. At least yours comes with numbers 😄

Numbers, yes. Whether they're audited is another matter. I've decided to accept the board as a document of good faith until the results come out.
