Malayalam reading classes for kids around Financial District or Gachibowli?

juniper_violin_774

Both kids follow Malayalam fine at home. My son, who is in class 2, can't read it at all, and his grandmother has started sending him letters she writes out by hand. Looking for something in person, weekends, small group. Does anyone know of classes nearby, or how other families find them?

How old is your younger one? A few Malayali families at the school where I work do an online class on Saturday mornings with a teacher in Kerala. The children seem to manage it from about 6. Do you want in person specifically?

Younger one is in UKG, so mainly for my son for now. In person if possible. Online after a school day hasn't worked for him, he wanders off in ten minutes. A Saturday morning might be different though. If you hear what it's called, let me know here.

not malayalam but we looked for telugu reading for my nephew in rajendranagar. most classes were run out of someone's home and we only found them by asking at the temple. maybe check notice boards at temples or community halls near you

Same story for Marathi. We found a weekend class through a cultural association, and it stopped after a year when the teacher moved away. Home-run classes depend on one person, so it's worth asking how long they've been going.

      Replying to @rose_diary_4686

Fair point, and that's probably why the two I'd heard of earlier don't exist any more. Will ask around next weekend and check how long they've been running before we sign up.
